Description

This Statement of Work is for the US Coast Guard Station Portage located at 22911 Chippewa Trail, Dollar Bay, MI 49922. A. US Coast Guard Station Portage located at 22911 Chippewa Trail, Dollar Bay, MI. There is currently washed stone around the foundation of the building, on the parking lot side of the building. The problem, is over years, debris and silt has collected in the stone, slowing the rates that the water is able to dissipate from the building. When the water is not able to drain away, it backs up and finds other places to go. In this case, the water backs up and goes under the flashing, where the brick meets the concrete foundation. B. The proposed scope of work for this project is the removal of about 12 inches of defective gravel. Cut out sections of sidewalk to get drain tile under, so water can run away from the building. Install 4 inch drain tile with a filter fabric and a gravel pouch around it. Top with washed stone to match appearance. C. All of the requirements shall meet Coast Guard and industry standards or higher than what is stated within the SOW.
