2020 Medians Project

The 2020 Median Project will continue the City of Aurora’s (COA) effort to improve medians on arterial streets. The goal is to develop arterial medians with low water consumption and maintenance costs. The 2020 Medians Project consists of improvements in Aurora, Colorado at the following location(s): • Alameda Avenue (from Buckley to Mississippi) • N. Sable Avenue (from 6th Ave. to Cedar Ave.) • Tower Road (from Mississippi Ave. to Mexico) • Hampden Avenue (from Himalaya to Picadilly) • Illiff Avenue (from Telluride to Wesley) • Montview Avenue (from Beeler to Galena) • Smoky Hill Road (from Chambers to Buckley) Work includes but is not limited to supply and installation of the following: site preparation, sediment and erosion control, minor earthwork, concrete flatwork, decorative rock and boulder placement, planting and watering, and traffic control.
