Description | Norwich Public Utilities water system consists of approximately 200 miles of piping, five booster stations, 6 reducing stations, and eight storage tanks. The system is supplied by two water treatment plants located in the surrounding towns of Lebanon, CT and Montville, CT. The Lebanon plant supplies roughly 75% of the water supply. Currently, the only locations that are monitored for flow are the outlet at the two plants. It is the intent of NPU to install additional flow monitoring devices within the system as well as monitor reservoir levels. |
