Description

The Demolition of Downtown Commercial Buildings and Vacant Lots bid includes but is not limited to, all labor, materials, and incidental items associated with the demolition. The demolition will include the demolition of several buildings made of various materials, concrete and asphalt parking lots, pads, and driveways. Demolition includes backfilling, grading, seeding, and removal of all demolition materials. All elements of work not included in the bid schedule shall be considered incidental to the contract with no further payment provided. (hereinafter Contract Work). No oral interpretations will be made as to the meaning of the Contract Documents. Interpretation, if deemed necessary, will be in the form of a written Addendum. Deadline for question submittal will be Friday, July 21, 2023, at 5:00 pm. All questions should be submitting in writing to purchasing@fuquay-varina.org and will be addressed via an addendum. Final addendum will be posted to the Town by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 5:00 PM. Bidders shall monitor the Town for any addendums that may be posted prior to Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Enable the microphone and camera if needed. Attendee should enter name and click Join. After joining, town staff will let you in the meeting and verify everyone can hear and see our video before bid opening starts. The Contractors submitting a bid for this project must possess the proper license classification to perform the Work elements contained in the specifications in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes; and if selected, provide a copy of their active license to the Owner. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or to reject any and all bids.
