Description | Project Synopsis PBS has identified a need for Construction Services for a Project at the Byrne US Courthouse located at 601 Market St., in Philadelphia, PA. As more specifically described in the plans and specifications, this project includes the renovation of approximately 32,300 GSF of existing interior office space located on the second floor of the James A. Byrne United States Courthouse. The project will include a complete demolition and new construction in the existing space, excluding the stairwell, elevator shafts, and restroom. The renovation will mostly include new open office space, with individual large and small conference rooms The scope of demolition includes removal of existing partitions, interior finishes, and built-in caseworks. Included in the renovated space, there will be new interior partitions and doors, new interior finishes such as carpet and wall covering graphics, and new fixed casework at specific locations. There will also be new glass and paint at the individual offices and the smaller conference rooms. In addition, the large conference room will feature a divisible wall to partition the large room into separate smaller rooms. Plumbing includes (4) sinks, (2) icemakers, including connection pipework systems. HVAC includes reconfigure existing air distribution systems, retain existing AHUs, FCUs, VAV boxes. Automatic wet sprinklers – replace existing. Electrical includes utilization of existing panelboards, machine, equipment and user convenience power, lighting/controls, telephone/data (CAT6A), WAP, A/V and security (conduit only) and fire alarm upgrades. |
