Description | This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or obligation or commitment by the Government. Market research is conducted to determine the availability and capability of qualified businesses for the following service: This is a firm fixed price requirements type construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, management, supervision, tools, transportation and other incidental items to perform Open-End Roofing Repairs, Reroofing, and Snow Removal from Roof Areas at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. Hours of operation are 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays. NAICS - 238160, Roofing Contractors Size Standards - $16.5 Million Magnitude of Construction - Over $10 million Task order are anticipated to range from $5,000 - $2.5M Anticipated award date: 13 March 2023 Performance of work start: 27 March 2023 - 26 March 2024 plus 2 one-year options periods. Interested vendors shall submit a capability statement to include: 1) Company Name; 2) Address; 3) Point of Contact Name, phone number, email address; 4) Cage Code; 5) Duns Number; 6) Size of Business (large, small, 8(a), Woman-Owned Small Business, HubZone, etc); 7) Experience: Submit 3-5 recent specific Government or commercial contracts your firm has self-performed to demonstrated your relevant NAICS 238160 experience as indicated in this announcement; 8) Maximum bonding capacity per project and aggregate bonding capability. The capability statement should not exceed 2 pages and shall be in sufficient details to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation. The Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. Information received will be used for market research purposes for the Government. GENERAL 1.1 GENERAL Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and other services required to perform Reroofing, Roof Repairs, Emergency Roof Repairs, and snow removal from roof areas. Contractor shall guarantee workmanship for all work described below and provide a warranty in strict accordance with these technical provisions. Tie-downs shall be installed in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and remain in place after roofing is complete. The scope of work covered by this Contract does not cover Reroofing and Roof Repair work, which might arise as part of a Contract to repair or renovate a Building or group of Buildings. The work covered by this Contract does not include projects awarded by The U.S. Army Engineering District or Fort Wainwright Medical Facilities under Bassett (BACH), to be designated by the Government during the contract period. 1.2 LOCATION OF WORK The sites of work will be at Fort Wainwright, excluding the Medical Facilities under Bassett (BACH), to be designated by the Government during the contract period. 1.3 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Description of work are as follows: Repair Roofs of Miscellaneous Buildings, which includes removal of existing and installation of new Fiberglass composition, Shingles, Preformed Sheet-metal Roofing, Sheet-metal Gutters, Downspouts, Flashing, Built-up roofing and replacement of deteriorated and Termite damaged Roof Lumber and Sheathing as required. Including incidental, painting of all bare exposed repaired wood surfaces, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as required. 1.4 ITEMS OF WORK Reroofing and Roof Repairs of Miscellaneous Buildings at Fort Wainwright, Fort Greely, Black Rapids Training Center, and Seward Military Resort (excluding the Medical Facilities, (BACH). The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
