Description

One (1) copy of the bid form should be retained for your files. Any questions should be directed to Chris LaHaie, Assistant Superintendent, in writing via email at clahaie@tkschools.org. 1. Complete all work needed for the 40'x80' Storage Building in its entirety. Including but not limited to earthwork, concrete, asphalt paving, rough framing, metal siding and trims, shingled roof, doors/hardware/frames, overhead doors, electrical work, etc. 2. Engineered/Stamped drawings of building and foundations are by this bid category. TK will use these drawings for State permitting review/approval. 3. Construction will start onsite after State of Michigan reviews the drawings generated by this bid package. Typical process takes approximately 3 months after submitting to the State of Michigan for review. Owner to handle application process. 4. Construct to following specifications: a. 40' x 80' pole barn/building type construction for cold storage b. 14' side walls c. Roof pitch - 4/12 d. Metal Siding - color "Light Gray" e. Trim color - "White" f. No interior finishes or insulation required. (cold storage) g. (3) - 12'x12' overhead doors - (non-insulated) i. (2) on the south end with a service door between them ii. (1) on the north end with a service door next to it. h. (2) service doors south and north ends of building i. Walls to include east and west Side Light Panels on the top 2' of structure. j. Shingled roof with architectural shingles- 25-to-30-year warranty included. k. Ridge vent with vented soffits l. Gutters and downspouts, with splash pads. Electrical m. LED wall pack lighting above all doors n. LED interior lighting as required per code. Note: Power to be pulled from existing electrical panel located in adjacent shop building. Electrician to pull power out of this existing panel, adding a new subpanel in the new storage barn. Will have to run in conduit out and over to the new building. Concrete o. No floor drains required. p. 10 mil vapor barrier over minimum 8" compacted clean sand fill meeting MDOT class II standards placed on compacted suitable subgrade. q. Interior concrete - 5" thick turndown perimeter slab with 6x6 wire mesh r. Typical construction and/or control joints for concrete slabs. s. 12" wide x 4" thick concrete maintenance strip around building. t. Concrete approach to North overhead and service door - 40' x 10' x 5" u. (4) 6" concrete bollards on south end of building at sides of both overhead doors
