Description | Re-Roof Recreational Facilities The Town of Hollywood is soliciting bids for the roof replacement for multiple recreational buildings. Scope of work includes the removal of the existing roof. Roof replacement/repairs and installation of new roof. The contractor shall be responsible for all materials, labor, permits, licenses, worker's comp and excess material disposal. Project Location: Manor Park-6392 Barrun Street, Pineland Park-5103 Towles Road, Wide Awake Park-5035 Trexler Avenue SCOPE OF WORK The successful Contractor will: o Prepare existing roof to receive retrofit roof system; o Delete abandon vents in roof and patch substrate with suitable material; o Loose lay custom sized pan filler in between the panel seems to provide a smooth surface for the rest of the roof covering installation; o Install wood blocking at eaves and rake and mechanically attach the structure; o Cut back metal panel that overhangs into the cutter to allow for proper water flow; o o Mechanically attach 60mil Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) single ply membrane (white) or 30 lb tar paper sufficient to hold under Wind Zone Two, Hurricane force winds; o Custom Fabricate and install TPO clad metal eave and rake perimeter edge flashings (standard color); cover entire roof with architectural grade shingles, eliminating the need for ridge caps and seems; o Flash all roof penetrations in general compliance with manufacturer's recommendations; o Reuse existing gutters, collector boxes and downspouts; o Clean up and properly dispose of all roofing related debris; o Manufacturer's inspection and grading upon completion; o Provide 20-year no dollar limit warranty for materials and labor;. Raise perimeter edge to match insulation height; o Make sure steps are taken to remove moisture from direct contact with metal flashing before new roofing installation occurs and provide protection from condensation build up between metal flashing and new roofing surface installation; and o Contractor is responsible for filing appropriate permits. Prevailing Wage Rates requirements apply to this Project because the maximum compensation for all Owner-contracted Work is more than $50,000. Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with the provisions of all labor codes and buildings codes in effect for the State of South Carolina. |
