Description

Dewatered Sediment The LCWA Board of Trustees is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to remove about 10,000 cu yds of dried alum sludge from a LCWA Facility near Astatula, FL. The LCWA shall retain a Contractor with all equipment needed and capability of loading and removing dewatered sediment off-site from the NuRF located at 16100 CR 48, Mt. Dora, FL 32757 (Exhibit C, D) to a property or municipality 1) Contractor has identified as willing to accept the material or 2) to Mid-Florida Materials Landfill at 3602 Golden Gem Rd., Plymouth, FL 32768 (Exhibit D), who has agreed to accept material ($9.00/yd). LCWA's main focus at the NuRF is the center portion of a "dry" containment area that is less than 10,000 cubic yards of dewatered sediment currently piled as high as 12 ft but an average of four to five feet high (Exhibits A, B). Contractor must calculate actual volumes. Repair LCWA property roads and sod affected by construction operations and restore them to original condition. Work to be completed within 90 days. Required >= 5% of total bid Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.
