Bus Shelter Advertising and Maintenance Services

Introduction A. The City of Gaithersburg, Maryland is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified Offerors to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the provision of Bus Shelter Advertising and Maintenance Services for all City-owned (57 total) bus shelters. B. The Bus Shelter Advertising Services include the installation and maintenance of advertisements on bus shelters capable of having display advertisements (Advertising Shelters currently 48). C. The Bus Shelter Maintenance Services include the cleaning, maintenance, trash pickup, and repair of both the Advertising and Non-Advertising Shelters, plus trash pickup at up to 125 bus stops which do not have shelters, as further specified herein. Contract Period and Renewals The Contract shall become effective on the date it is signed by both parties and shall continue in force for 10 years. Upon the expiry date of the initial term, the Contract may be renewed for up to two (2) additional five (5) year terms, upon mutual agreement between the City and Offeror. Scope of Work - The Offeror shall design shelters to be in general conformance with the existing City bus shelters, as depicted in Exhibit C. Dimensions, materials, and finishes shall match the existing shelters to the extent feasible. All new or replacement shelters shall be 4' x 13', even in cases where the shelter being replaced is slightly smaller. The Montgomery County standard shelter shall be the Eclipse Transit Shelter by Brasco-Westwood, 5'x 14', with sloped acrylic roof, full sides, bench, custom wall glazing, a two-sided advertising box, and an aluminum hanging sign. The County standard shelter shall be modified (colors and finishes) to clearly distinguish it as a City of Gaithersburg bus shelter. All questions regarding this Solicitation: (i) shall be submitted in writing by email to the Procurement Division, at procurement@gaithersburgmd.gov; and (ii) shall be received by the date and time specified in the Solicitation Schedule. (Ref. Para. 3.1) The solicitation number and title must be included in the subject line of the email. Any and all questions received not in compliance with this paragraph will not be answered unless the City, at its sole discretion, deems that a response to a question is necessary to clarify anything in the Solicitation Documents. The City's responses to questions received will be issued via Addendum to this solicitation on the date specified in the Solicitation Schedule.
