Description | Original Set Aside: Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) Set-Aside (specific to Department of Interior). Scope of Work for this project will include cleaning of all HVAC ductwork and accessories and assessment of the HVAC system at the WCD/ BIA Southern Plains Regional Office building. The extent of ductwork to be cleaned shall be determined by review of available construction documents and field verification. The contractor shall be responsible for the removal of visible contaminants, deposits, and debris from within the HVAC system in strict accordance with these specifications. The HVAC system includes any interior surface of the facility’s air distribution system for conditioned spaces and/or occupied zones. This includes all Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning systems from the points where the air enters the system to the points where the air is discharged from the system. The return air grilles, return air ducts to the air handling unit (AHU), interior surfaces of the AHU, mixing box, coil compartment, condensate drain pans, supply air ducts, fans, fan housing, fan blades, turning vanes, filters, filter housings, reheat coils, and supply diffusers are all considered part of the HVAC system. The HVAC system may also include other components such as dedicated exhaust and ventilation components and make-up air systems. The supply and return air ducts in ceiling, wall, floor, and ceiling vents will need to be thoroughly cleaned. All dust, visible surface contamination, and debris shall be removed. Supply and return air duct work will be inspected Contractor will cover electronic equipment with plastic covers prior to starting work. Each room will be labeled in some way to show that the vents and ducts have been cleaned and cleared of debris. Contractor will perform an assessment/evaluation of building HVAC system and implement corrective measures to improve ventilation, maintain the comfort level of the building occupants, and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in buildings per CDC, ASHRAE, and OSHA guidance. HVAC system mitigation strategies shall be evaluated by a qualified TAB firm, Cx [commissioning] provider or design professional to ensure that the modifications for pandemic safety do not create additional issues. |
