Fort Raymond Substation 115KV Upgrade

The City of Seward (City) is seeking bids for a contract to replace two 69kV transformers in Seward Electrics Fort Raymond Substation with a pair of dual-winding transformers with a maximum voltage capacity of 115kV. In addition to replacing the transformers and related equipment, the selected contractor will upgrade the grounding system within the substation. Also, to provide backup power to customers while the substation is under construction, the contractor will relocate within the substation and make operational one of the 69kV transformers being replaced. Once the upgraded system is completed, the relocated transformer will be decommissioned and removed. Bidders should be fully qualified, knowledgeable and experienced in the type of work to be performed and shall understand and comply with all ITB requirements and applicable codes and laws. In preparing a bid, the bidder shall rely fully upon its own experience and shall be knowledgeable about all aspects of the work specified in this ITB. The selection of the qualified proposer will be at the sole discretion of the City of Seward, and the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any minor irregularities.
