Description

A. 34.5 KV Outdoor Substation and 5 KV Outdoor Switchgear (Switchyard) 1. Clean, inspect, tighten connections, and test one group-operated air-break switch. The switch will be lubricated and mechanically operated to ensure correct operation. Testing will include contact resistance. 2. Clean, inspect, tighten connections on three structure mounted potential transformers. 3. Clean, inspect, tighten connections on three structure mounted current transformers. 4. Clean, inspect, tighten connections on three structure mounted lightning arresters. 5. Clean, inspect, tighten connections and test one 34.5 kV vacuum circuit breaker. Testing will include insulation power factor, contact resistance, and functional trip tests. 6. Clean, inspect, tighten connections and test one oil filled transformer. Testing will include power factor and winding resistance tests. 7. Clean, inspect, lubricate, and test one 4160 V circuit breaker. Breaker testing will include insulation resistance, contact resistance, and vacuum bottle integrity tests. The breaker will be functionally trip tested by its associated relays. 8. Clean, inspect, and test the 4160 V outdoor switchgear. The switchgear will be vacuum cleaned and accessible connections tightened. Testing will include insulation resistance of the switchgear bus. 9. Calibrate Meters Power Factor (0.8 lag – 0.8 lead) Wattmeter (4000 – 4000 kW) AC Ammeter (0 – 1200 Amps) AC Voltmeter (0 – 5000 volts) 10.The following relays will be calibrated and tested per manufacturer’s recommendations: Three Westinghouse 1875593 (67V) One GE 121AV53K1A (64) Eight Westinghouse CO-8H1101N (51/51N) One GE Multilin 27/59/81 Three Westinghouse 290B346A09A (87) 86 Lockout relays (Three total – 86/86AT/86T) B. Indoor Switchgear 5 KV Generator Switchgear (Turbine Generator Switchgear Room) Main Circuit Breaker (52G3) 1. Clean, inspect, lubricate, and test one main 4160 V circuit breaker (52G3). Testing will include insulation resistance, contact resistance, and vacuum bottle integrity tests. The breaker will functionally trip tested by its associated relays. 2. The following relays will be calibrated and tested per manufacturer’s recommendations: ONE BBC ITE Circuit Shield Type 51Y 3. Clean, inspect, and test the 4160 V switchgear. The switchgear will be vacuum cleaned and accessible connections tightened. Test will include insulation resistance of the switchgear bus. 4. Calibrate Meters AC Voltmeter (0 – 5000 volts) AC Ammeter (0 – 1000 Amps) C.Indoor 5 KV Generator Switchgear Room – Turbine Generator Circuit Breakers (52G1 / 52G2) NOTE: This maintenance may be accomplished anytime in 2020 and must be coordinated through the plant at least one week ahead of time. 1. Clean, inspect, lubricate, and test two 4160 V Generator circuit breakers (52G1 and 52G2). Testing will include insulation resistance, contact resistance, and vacuum bottle integrity tests. The breaker will be functionally trip tested by its associated relays. 2. The following generator relays (one relay per generator / two total) will be calibrated and tested per the manufacturer’s recommendations: Sweitzer SEL 700G Relays (32R / 32 RP / 50 / 51 / 51Y / 27 / 59 / 81 / 87) Basler Sync Check Relay (BEI-25) on the Master Control Panel Westinghouse Watt – hour meter on the Master Control Panel Functional Trip Test of SEL / Main Generator Breaker (52G1 / 52G2) / lockout relays. 3. Calibrate Control Panel Meters on G1 / G2 Panels Frequency (55 – 65 hz) AC kW (0-3000) AC Voltage (0-5000) AC Ammeter (0-400) Power Factor (0.5 lag – 0.5 Lead) 4. Calibrate the Meters on the Master Control Panel Bus Volt Meter ((0-5000 volts AC) Generator Volt Meter (0-5000 volts AC) Frequency (55-65 hz) Power Factor Meter (0.5 lag to 0.5 Lead) 5. Clean, inspect, and test two neutral grounding resistors. Testing will include nominal resistance. E. 480 V Indoor Switchgear Room 1. Clean, inspect, lubricate, and test sixteen 480 V circuit breakers. Testing will include insulation resistance, contact resistance, and functional trip testing via secondary current injection. The breaker enclosures will be vacuum cleaned, accessible connections tightened, and the bus insulation resistance will be tested. 2. 3. Clean, inspect, lubricate, and test one low-voltage automatic transfer switch. Testing will include insulation resistance and contact resistance (Emergency Generator ATS – co-ordinate with Shift Supervisor). F. Emergency Generator (Natural Gas / 110 kW) NOTE: This maintenance may be accomplished anytime in 2020 and must be coordinated through the plant at least one week ahead of time. 1. Calibrate Emergency Generator meters AC Amps (0-200 Amps) AC Volts (0-600 Volts) Frequency (55-65 hz) 2. Clean Generator Windings and control panels. G. Provide pricing for repairs not detailed in this specification to include prevailing wage hourly costs, rate sheets for specialty tools / anticipated consumables, and quotations for replacement parts where applicable for equipment found inoperable during testing
