Description | As of June 20,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The City of Wrightsville, Georgia will accept sealed bids for the construction of the project entitled Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade - Division B - Effluent Forcemain to the Ohoopee River. This bid will be for all labor, materials, and any miscellaneous appurtenances for a complete river discharge. Work to Be Done: Division B work consists of 16" forcemain piping (+3.2 miles) from Effluent PS to cascade aeration structure and an 18" gravity line (1335') from cascade aeration site to the proposed new Ohoopee River discharge location. The Facility Upgrade Division A work shall be to increase the treatment capacity of the existing plant from a 0.7452 MGD Facility to a 1 MGD average monthly flow and a 3 MGD peak facility. The existing facility consists of an Aeration Pond, a Facultative Pond and a Polishing Pond. These existing ponds are proposed to remain. A new plant site is proposed approximately 900' southeast of the existing plant headworks. All work for Division A is to be conducted at either the existing facility site or the proposed new site all approximately one-mile southeast of downtown Wrightsville, Johnson County, Georgia. All plan holders must go through the Engineer's office protocol in order to be an official plan holder. All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid.
