Description | This is a new action for the installment of a Intrusion Detection System (IDS) in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (Bldg. 1558 SCIF) at Andrews AFB, MD.Period of performance is not to exceed 1 year. This is intended to be a Firm Fixed Price order. The supplies and services are described in detail in the Performance Work Statement. Contractor shall design and install the IDS in a SCIF area to allow SCIF Accreditation meeting stringent criteria included in the list of allowed equipment itemsas per the attached letter. The items on this list have been through rigorous testing for compatibility and specialized performance as required within a secure areaprocessing Special Compartmented Information (SCI) and are the only items allowed to be used in this type of secure area. The contractor will design the system usingapproved equipment, but items such as detectors can have more than one manufacturer and differing specifications. The contractor must engineer the system based onthe specifications of the items he chooses to use. The installers of such equipment must meet U.S. citizenship requirements, have the appropriate security clearances, and have at least three years of proven performance installing equipment within SCIF areas. The equipment and parts allowed must meet stringent testing and beapproved by the controlling authority listed in the attached letter. All equipment is required to be manufactured in the U. S. to limit any possibility of informationcompromise. The equipment must also be compatible with existing equipment within the Base Defense Operating Center (BDOC) allowing easy integration with theexisting system. A site survey coupled with the Force Protection Division, AFLCMC/HBU's Non-Nuclear Configuration Management Database (CMD) Equipment Approvallisting ensures the newly installed equipment can be integrated into the BDOC and follow-on maintenance can be easily be included in the FSS III contract after the one-year warranty and maintenance contract. Any installation within the SCIF must meet all National Security Requirements or the SCIF cannot acquire accreditation andcannot process the information the facility was designed and built to process. |
