Fiddlers Creek Outfall Replacement

As of February 9, 2023, a pre-construction meeting is scheduled for February 10, 2023, with construction to follow shortly after. An exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Consideration will be given only to Contractors who submit evidence that they are properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes to bid and perform the work described herein as the general contractor and must have proper licenses under the state laws governing their respective trades at the time of bid opening. A non-Mandatory Pre-Bid teleconference will be held at the time and location listed in the Pre-bid Notice. The Work to be performed under these Contract Documents is generally described as follows: Construction of approximately 13,000 LF of 36-inch sanitary sewer outfall, 3,000 LF of sanitary sewer collectors ranging in size from 8-inches to 18-inches, 73 manholes, 680 LF of 54-inch steel casing via bore and jack (4 NCDOT road crossings), 1 PNG gas easement crossing via open cut, various temporary stream crossings via bore and jack or pump-around, groundwater dewatering for excavation, sewer bypass pumping, abandonment of existing sanitary sewers and manholes as designated, and other related appurtenances. The project corridor spans between Old Lexington Rd (NC SR 2743) and Willard Rd (NC SR 2700) along Fiddlers Creek in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. Staff and a representative from Hazen and Sawyer will be available to answer any technical questions concerning this work. Pre-bid minutes will be taken and distributed to interested parties as an addendum. Prime bidders and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend this virtual meeting.
