Description | Perform maintenance on four (4) unique City owned photovoltaic solar systems to ensure the systems generate energy as designed. Contractor shall perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all the City’s four (4) solar photovoltaic arrays; this includes diagnosing and correcting issues at these sites. Contractor shall troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform repairs and/or replacement on all systems components as requested by the City, subject to an on-call basis to ensure arrays are online and the tracking systems are operating as intended to maximize production. May include parts and/or software, or additional professional services. All actions under this portion of the contract shall be approved by City of Mesa prior to any work commencing. SYSTEM DESCRIPTIONS: The City owns four (4) photovoltaic solar arrays: Solfocus – 7808 E. Brown Rd. Date installed: 6/14/2011 Solfocus was originally designed as a site to test cutting-edge photovoltaic technologies. There are six tracking arrays and four static arrays outfitted with Solfocus 850 W/m2 DNI, 20°C Ambient, on-sun panels that total 60 kW. The arrays are ground-mounted in a field adjacent to Red Mountain Softball Complex. Fire Station 219 – 3361 S. Signal Butte Rd. Date installed: 5/30/2012 Fire Station 219’s roof-mounted array is the smallest in the City - 5 kW. The system is currently not producing kWh and will require repair and ongoing maintenance. Fire Station 220 – 32 S. 58th St. Date installed: 10/1/2012 Fire Station 220’s has a roof-mounted 20 kW array and has been the City’s most reliable system since its installation in 2013. The system currently only requires preventative maintenance. Household Hazardous Materials Facility – 2412 N. Center St. Date installed: 9/1/2018 The Household Hazardous Materials Facility is an 18.2 kW array and is the City’s most recent installation. The system currently only requires preventative maintenance. |
