Description | **As of October 3, 2022, project was awarded to Berger Excavating Contractors awarded amount is $9,201,733.50** *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City is now accepting additional questions or requests for clarification until 12:00 pm on Friday, August 12. The City of Aurora is constructing an approximately 200,000 SF public works combined maintenance facility. The scope of services to be performed under this bid package includes the mass grading, installation of onsite utilities, pavement (aggregate base and binder) for the central access road and west storage yard, and the construction of a new salt storage dome with conveyor at the approximately 26 acre, previously undeveloped site. Between Liberty Street and New York Street, just east of Sartor Lane in Aurora, IL All questions should be received by the purchasing division by 4:00 pm Thursday, July 21, 2022 so that an addendum can be issued by Monday, July 25, 2022 if required. All questions received after July 21, 2022 will not be addressed unless otherwise stated via Addendum Prequalification of Bidders as contained in Check Sheet LRS6 in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions" is required on this project. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty as outlined in the Proposal form. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all proposals as provided in Standard Provisions for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions". Any bidder who owes the City money may be disqualified at the City's discretion. The City encourages minority business firms to submit proposals and encourages the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty the bidder has examined the plans and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in depth examination.
