Union Church - Old Town Hall

A. Tower Maintenance: The tower is located above the front entrance of the building. 1. Fix or replace window in tower to match existing. The window measures 34” X 61” and is three panes wide and six panes high. Window panes are 10” X 14”. Window sashes should be new with two (2) coats of paint (and primer). Repairs should be done to the frame to ensure it is weather tight. 2. Broken clapboards on spire are to be replaced, primed and finished with two (2) coats of paint. 3. Reattach triangular molding on left side. B. Minor window repair: These windows are located directly to the right and left of the front entrance. Trim on the window to right of porch needs to be replaced with new trim matching the window on the left. The window trim on the left side needs to be checked and replaced if necessary. All replaced trim needs to be back primed with two (2) coats white paint. C. Front porch replacement. This item should have two distinct bids: one bid to replace the landing and steps as existing and one bid to combine Items C and D (the ramp). 1. Brace the overhang as necessary to preserve integrity. 2. Porch should be built to size and design of existing porch. 3. Repair flashing at porch roof and window. D. Design and build a 12’ X 36”, 1:12 ramp to the right of the landing. The design will need to match existing porch and will require approval from the Historic District Commission.
