Description | 1. The Contractor is required to complete preventive maintenance on Three (3) 4160v Automatic Transfer Switches (see table below). 2. The Contractor must clean, inspect, test and adjust all major electrical distribution equipment. 3. The Contractor must repair (as needed) all open/close indicators and charged/discharged indicators. 4. The Contractor must schedule all work, in advance, (including outages) in specific areas with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). 5. The Contractor is required to schedule in writing to the COR two weeks in advance (outages will only be scheduled on nights and weekends). 6. The Contractor must provide a complete comprehensive report of services rendered (The report shall provide for listings of all equipment tested and scanned including complete nameplate data, age, maximum loading in amperes, the conduction as found, and modifications made). 7. The Contractor is required to make recommendations, including any major defects or deviations in the electrical system detected during the test and inspections (to include any violations of national or local codes that may affect the safety of personnel and/or continuity of service). The Contractor must supply a checklist for each piece of equipment (to include check- list shall have a line item for each test and inspection to be performed. All critical conditions, including recommendations for corrective action shall be submitted in writing to the COR). 8. The Contractor must be in compliance with applicable NEMA, ANSI, ASTM, ASA, NFPA and VA standards. 9. In locations where the ATS has no Bypass function; Contractor must request a shutdown two weeks in advance of work in writing form to the COR. The VA will review the shutdown request for review and approval. Contractor must provide all equipment, fuel and labor required to provide temporary power. |
