North Main Waterline Replacement Project

**As of July 07, 2022. Project was awarded to Metra Industries, Inc. (Base Bid + Alt.A) The City of Abbeville (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the North Main Waterline Replacement Project. The Project includes the following summary of Work: Base Bid: Installation of 4,550 LF of 8 inch CL350 Ductile Iron, 350 LF of 6 inch CL350 Ductile Iron, and 120 LF of 4 inch CL350 Ductile Iron waterlines and related appurtenances along North Main Street generally from Ellis Avenue to Henry Street in Abbeville, SC. Approximately 5,200 LF of asphalt roadway will be removed and repaired to allow for the waterline installation. Add Alternate A (in addition to the Base Bid): Installation of 1,200 LF of 8 inch CL350 Ductile Iron and 75 LF of 6 inch CL350 Ductile Iron waterlines and related appurtenances along North Main Street generally from Trinity Street to Ellis Avenue in Abbeville, SC. Approximately 1,300 LF of asphalt roadway will be removed and repaired to allow for the waterline installation. Add Alternate B (in addition to the Base Bid): Installation of 1,400 LF of 8 inch CL350 Ductile Iron and 100 LF of 6 inch CL350 Ductile Iron waterlines and related appurtenances along North Main Street generally from Henry Street to Taylor Town Road in Abbeville, SC. Approximately 1,500 LF of asphalt roadway will be removed and repaired to allow for the waterline installation. There is no pre-bid conference for this project. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates).
