BRT East Transportation Signal Priority (TSP) Installation

The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced Contractors to provide a communications system consisting of fiber optic cable and Transit Signal Priority (TSP) hardware. These services will include installing aerial fiber optic cable on existing poles, installing new signal controllers and/or controller cabinets that include TSP hardware. Will also include installing conduits, connecting fiber between signalized intersections, and providing connections to Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) East stations (including communication hardware from stations to signal cabinets). New Ethernet switches will also be required as outlined in the plan set below. The Contractor shall be responsible for installing and integrating all communication systems and technology associated with this Project. Installation shall be provided per HDR’s “Bus Rapid Transit East Corridor” plans dated April 2020. Services will be for the area shown in the typical plans provided in this RFP.
