Description

Replacement of existing 5kV air breaker circuit breaker with vacuum circuit breakers, along with protection and control devices located in the switchgear. Electromechanical relays will be replaced with SEL relays. Breaker control schematics will be modified to provide status of breaker, add a maintenance mode control switch and allow for remote and local operation. Current transformers will be installed on the main breaker for future use and a single phase potential transformer will be installed for sync check. Optional work will include replacement of the vacuum circuit breakers (this will be bid as per unit replacement) with similar units.
