Description | A. Work to be Bid: 1. Work to be covered by the base bid shall include replace existing HVAC systems 2. Work to be covered by the base bid shall include suspended ceiling replacement. B. Type of Contract: 1. HVAC Contractor 2. Specialty Contractor 2. Bid security payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the total Bid, shall be executed by the Bidder in the form of certified check, bank draft, or acceptable surety. 3. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sec. 39(s)-1-12). Wages printed in the Project Manual are for the month of bidding only. 4. Successful bidders will be required to perform and provide criminal background checks on all contractors and subcontractors that will be employed on this project prior to commencement of work, at the Contractor's expense. Bidding Documents: 1. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations: a. Lunsford Architects, Inc., 2470 Dr. Springs Rd., Carterville, IL 62918. b. Office of the Superintendent, Dr. Jason Henry, 4626 State Highway 154, Sesser, IL 62884 E. Bidding Procedure: 1. No oral, telegraphic, e-mail, or telephonic proposals will be considered. 2. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informalities in the bidding. 3. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of Ninety (90) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. 4. Bidders shall be responsible for obtaining all documentation from Lunsford Architects, Inc. website including addenda, meeting notes, etc. F. Bidding Schedule: 1. The owner requires all Phase 1 Elementary Wing work contemplated in the construction document shall commence June 01, 2023 and be completed no later than August 1,2023. 2. The owner requires all Phase 2 High School Wing work contemplated in the construction document shall commence June 01, 2024 and be completed no later than August 1, 2024. 3. The owner requires all Phase 3 Commons & Junior High School Wing work contemplated in the construction document shall commence June 01, 2025 and be completed no later than August 1, 2025. |
