City of Auburn Landfill No. 2 Final Closure and Leachate System Modifications

Contract No. 1 - General Construction Base Bid - Preparation of approximately 14.4 acres of landfill intermediate cover for geomembrane installation; - Construction of approximately 14.4 acres of landfill final cover system; - Installation of 6 new vertical gas extraction wells; - Installation of landfill gas conveyance piping to new wells; - Modifications to the existing leachate sump infrastructure; and - Surface water drainage system construction. Additive Bid No. 1 - Leachate System Improvements - Replacement of secondary leachate monitoring system (SLMS) mechanicals including leachate pumps, flow meters, controls, and control panels in existing leachate transfer manholes; - Replacement of all (groundwater, secondary, and primary) leachate pumping systems, flow meters, controls, and control panels in existing sideriser buildings; and - Integration of the leachate monitoring systems (SLMS sumps, siderisers, and pumps station) into a SCADA system with remote radio panels and one main receiver. Additive Bid No. 2 - Pump Station Replacement - Installation of a new duplex dual-contained concrete pump station and outlet valve pit (including all controls and control panels); - Installation of new concrete leachate transfer manhole; - Installation of connecting dual-contained HDPE piping; - Decommissioning and removal of the existing pump station and valve pit; - Relocation of the pump station backup generator;
