| Description | Furnish all material, labor and equipment to reroof a portion of building 300 at Avon Park High School in Avon Park, florida. Demolition of the existing roof system includes: Removal of ail existing Built-up Roofing down to the existing gypsum deck. Because the current tapered insulation was Installed with Polymer Fasteners and Polymer Fastener Insulation Plates, the contractor shall remove, by unscrewing, all existing fasteners to minimize the damage to the gypsum deck. Remove all existing flashings at walls and curbs.Dispose of all materials properly off-site In contractor supplied dumpsters. Existing abandoned roof equipment curbs can remain. Provide no less than %" aluminum plate over any deck penetrations. There are 3 known deck disruptions. Plate shall be sized to go at least 6" beyond any deck fracture. Install tapered Iso board insulation, fully adhered over the existing gypsum deck. To limit the penetrations into the gypsum deck, utilize Firestone Twin Jet, 2-part, low rise, foam adhesive to install the insulation board. Install a self-adhered base sheet over the tapered Insulation. Install (1) ply of Firestone APP 160 smooth Interply - torch applied. Install (1) ply of Firestone APP 180FR - torch applied. There are two existing roofs exhaust fans that are to be raised and re-flashed per Firestone requirements. Power disconnect and reconnect shall be part of this bid. An approved lightning protection system shall be reinstalled as part of this bid.One additional 2,x3' walk pad shall be installed at the roof hatch exit. The existing roof hatch shall be reused and raised as part of this bid if required by Firestone. Supply and install a new metal hatchway guardrail system. Re-install the existing antenna. Properly flash and reroof over existing abandoned equipment roof curbs. Existing 3 roof drains shall be replaced and reutilized in the drain plan of the tapered insulation. The one hose bibb penetration shall remain and receive a Firestone approved detail. There is one section of roof along the west side that the cap sheet is contiguous to the lower roof plain. Confirm with Firestone the dimension needed to roll down the existing west wall, with the new cap sheet. | ||
