Description | A. Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, tools, means, methods, and incidentals necessary to complete the Work as required by the Contract Documents for this Construction Contract. Each contractor shall coordinate, through the Owner/Architect, the work of their contract with the work by others. B. This following abbreviated summary is provided in order to briefly describe the work covered by the Contract Documents for this Construction Contract. It is not all inclusive of the work under the Contract. C. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Modifications to exisiting casework, to allow for new unit ventilators. New drop ceilings and soffits iin corridors. 2. Project closeout submittals. D. All other work shown and specified within the Contract Documents for Contract G. The purpose of the project is to provide new corridor ceilings with associated lighting & power, new classroom ventilation, new turf field, new sports lighting, new track and site drainage. Hard copies and electronic bid documents will be available beginning on Monday, July 24 th , 2023. Each bid must be accompanied by either a certified check drawn on a solvent bank with an office in the State of New York, or a bid bond equal to ten percent (10 %) of the total amount of the project bid, and payable to the "WHITE PLAINS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT". This amount shall be the measure of liquidated damages sustained by the School District as a result of the failure, negligence or refusal of the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded to execute and deliver the contract. Provide a certified statement that the bonding company meets or exceeds the requirements set forth in Article 11 of the General Conditions. A Performance and Payment bond will be required for the work. Each shall be in the amount of 100% of the contract sum. Refer to Article 11 of the General Conditions for requirements associated with such bonds. |
