Description | For the replacement of a 350 Ton (60Hz) Trane chiller. The City of Baytown determined that the Chiller must be replaced due to age and repeated failures. The new unit will entail integration into current Building Automation System (BAS). The awarded bidder shall complete the removal and installation in no more than thirty (30) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. All questions must be submitted in email format to purchasing@baytown.org. Scope- Provide reclaim service, disconnection, removal and disposal of the existing Trane water chiller o Provide and install one (1) new, high efficiency chiller, anchored in place o Provide coated chiller coils for coastal area weather protection o Provide hail guards for chiller coils o Provide crane service for the removal of the old unit and placement of the new unit. This will include all rigging apparatuses. o Provide the reconnect of electrical power to the chiller o Provide the reconnect of the existing chiller water piping o Provide start-up, commissioning, and registration of the new unit o Provide a minimum one-year warranty on the installation of the unit. The manufacturer's warranty for the new unit will transfer to the City at completion and acceptance by the City of Baytown o Provide all required permits with the City. Permits will be at no charge, but must be obtained o All labor and tools required to complete the removal and installation o All required personal protection equipment o Required licensure to complete the removal and installation o All other labor and materials required for the removal of the existing unit and placement of the new unit o Project will be bid as a lump sum to include parts, labor and all other costs associated with the complete project, per specifications. |
