Description

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, with additive and/or deductive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Calvert-Spradling Engineers, Inc.; 7085 Highway 45 North Alternate, P.O. Drawer 1078, West Point, MS 39773. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays during regular business hours, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. This project is funded through a grant from the Mississippi Community Development Block Grant Program and is a Section 3 covered activity as defined by the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u) (section 3). Contractors and subcontractors are encouraged to provide, to the greatest extent feasible, training, employment, and contracting, opportunities generated by the expenditure of this assistance to low-and very low-income persons and business concerns owned by low-and very low-income persons, or which employ low-and very low-income persons. Preference can be given to businesses that comply with Section 3.
