Continued Emergency Discharge Response and Contaminated Area Excavation/Interim Source Removal

Consist of personnel and equipment to (1) maintain a boomed and completely contained area waterward of the discharge (outer boom tiers approximately 600 and 300 feet long, inner boom tiers each approximately 250 feet long) and augment as necessary to ensure sheen is not present outside the inner booms; (2) skim surface waters within boom to recover discharged product during periods near low tide; (3) absorb the discharge from the waterward containment area as necessary throughout the work period; (4) skim or by other methods remove product which migrates or is found within the upland Excavation Area during and after excavation is complete; (5) contain recovered free product and petroleum contaminated water (PCW) prior to hauling/disposal; (6) dispose of product and PCW recovered from the seaward containment area and upland Excavation Area; and (7) load, transport and dispose of contaminated soil originating from within the upland Excavation Area
