Description

Project Description: The work consists of constructing an addition to East Arkansas Family Health Center. Total area is approximately 4,500 SF and all work is located on Seventh Street in West Memphis, AR. Construction will be a combination of 1-story, steel frame with a steel roof structure. Bids will be accepted for the following Trade Packages (Subcontracts): Grading and Storm Drainage; Paving; Irrigation & Landscaping; Concrete; Masonry; Structural Steel; Architectural Woodwork; Building Insulation; Wall & Metal Soffit Metal Panels; Metal Roof Panels; Foamed-InPlace Insulation; Aluminum Faced Composite Panels; Roofing; Joint Sealants; Miscellaneous Installation; Glass, Glazing & Storefront; Drywall; Acoustical Ceiling; Ceramic Tile; Carpet and Resilient Flooring; Painting; Fabric Wrapped Panels; Signage; Fire Protection; Plumbing; HVAC; Electrical; CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems; Access Control System Please take note of the following items: 1.All Subcontractor and Material Supplier proposals must be submitted on a copy of the bid form found in the Project Manual. 2.Liquidated Damages of $100 per day (as an estimate of losses and not a penalty) are applicable to subcontractors and suppliers on this project. 3.5% retainage will be withheld on this project. 4.Subcontractors whose bid amount equals or exceeds $20,000 must be licensed in the State of Arkansas, as provided by Act 142 of 1967, amended by Act 293 of 1969, and Act 397 of 1971, and Act 546 of 1971, as enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Arkansas. 5.Bid Bond: For Subcontract bid proposals exceeding $20,000, a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check for 5% of the bid amount is REQUIRED. (Made payable to A and R Construction) 6.Performance and Payment Bond: For Subcontracts (Trade Packages) exceeding $20,000, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment bond. The cost of furnishing a Performance and Payment Bond should be included in the bid. 7.All bids exceeding $20,000 shall include a notarized statement attached to or included on the bid form affirming that the bidder has not been involved in any collusion with other bidders or public officials regarding the price or terms of a prospective contract in accordance with Act 2161 of 2005.Instructions to Bidders, Summary of Work and Project Schedule are in the Project Manual. 8.General and Supplementary Conditions are in the Project Manual. 9.The Owner and/or Construction Manager reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids. 10.Sub-contractors shall follow all requirements of Federal Procurement Standards-Title 45.
