Description

The intent of the City is to hold a Household Hazardous Waste Day for its residents to be scheduled on ONE OF THE TWO (2) SPECIFIC SATURDAYS LISTED ON THE BID FORM and is issuing this Invitation to Bid to obtain pricing for the collection and proper removal and disposal of Hazardous Household Waste under the instruction of the Department of Public Facilities. Contractor shall be responsible for the provision of all necessary materials, equipment and personnel as per Scope of Services attached. For further information, please contact Michele Otero - Michele.Otero@Bridgeportct.gov No work shall be performed, or deliveries made under the contract award until a Purchase Order has been issued by the Purchasing Department. Bidders to provide two (2) copies of Bid package. This is a Unit Price Bid and no Bid bond is required with bid submittals. Q & A deadline: Feb 10, 2023 7:00:00 AM EST Bidder must comply with and allow for the following when bidding: Contractor shall be responsible for all permits. Contractor to provide all materials for set up. Contractor responsible for supplying or third-party rental of any material handling equipment as needed. Contractor is responsible for the safety of all their crew, City employees, and the general public while at the collection site. Contractor is responsible for verifying that all certifications, and licensing of their personnel reporting to the site on day assigned are current and in compliance with the appropriate regulating agencies. Bidder agrees to reserve the date offered on bid sheet for no less than 45 days after bid opening. It shall be the responsibility of the bidder, to check website regularly for addendums issued against this bid prior to bid opening. Successful Contractor may be required to enter into a General Service Agreement with the City of Bridgeport a sample copy of same has been included in this bid package for reference purposes only and need not be completed by Bidder at this time. Successful Contractor will be required to furnish the Department of Public Purchases, a Certificates of Insurance including Workers Compensation coverage and showing the City of Bridgeport as the additional insured. (Not required prior to bid opening) Successful Contractor may be required to furnish the Department of Public Purchases a completed copy of the attached "Non-Collusion" form. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to: Reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to waive any informality in bidding if it is determined to be in the best interest of the City of Bridgeport. To make award not based solely on unit pricing, if necessary, to meet target date. Award a contract resulting from the solicitation to the responsible vendor whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the City of Bridgeport, cost, price, and other factors specified elsewhere in this solicitation, considered The City reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids in part or whole in the best interest of the city. All Vendors located or owning property in the City of Bridgeport shall assure that all real and personal property taxes are paid. Do not include in your quotation taxes for which the City is not liable, as tax exemption certificates will be furnished upon request. Sealed Bids must be received and time-stamped by the Purchasing Department prior to Bid closing time. No Bids received after the stated closing time will be considered. To assure that your Bid receives priority treatment within our mailing systems please mark as follows. Mark your envelope: "MNB066232 - HHW" Late (Sealed) Bids: It shall be the sole responsibility of the bidder to pay for any type of delivery service charge, and to see that the Office of the Purchasing Agent receives his/her bid on time. The clock used shall be the Purchasing Agent's official date and time stamp clock. The City does not assume financial responsibility for late deliveries by the U.S. Postal System or any other delivery service If your envelope is not marked accordingly, the City will not assume responsibility. Note: If the Margaret E Morton Government Center should be closed due to any unforeseen event, bids will be received and opened at the same time on the next business day the Center is open
