Four Mile Run Park Bridge Replacement

This project will replace the currently closed bike and pedestrian bridge connecting the Four Mile Run Park parking area at Commonwealth Avenue with the main portion of the park west to Mount Vernon Avenue. This bridge serves as an integral connection for park users and commuters between the City of Alexandria, Arlington County and points north and south using the Mount Vernon Trail. The project is included in the City of Alexandria's FY 2023-2032 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of June 27, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
