Description | The contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, materials and equipment required for the services to pump out 3 grease traps and 1 grit trap. The grease traps that need to be pumped out are in buildings 4, 91, 202 and the grit trap that needs to be pump is at the car wash station outside of Building 226. The contractor will perform these services quarterly and provide the VA COR or Alternative COR with the inspection reports after traps are cleaned. All work performed will be done at the Doris Miller VAMC in Waco, at Buildings 4, 91, 202, and 226 at 4800 Memorial Drive, Waco, Texas 76711. After all work is completed, the contractor will have a walkthrough with a VA representative to ensure all work is completed and ready for invoicing. The contractor shall provide all personnel, services, vehicles, transportation, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, facility supervision, administration supervision and any other item(s) necessary to perform and accomplish this service. The contractor shall be familiar with all the terms, conditions, and requirement herein contained. All disposals must comply with federal, state and local regulations for hazmat disposal. All work shall be done according to the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) specified for the respective areas where work is performed. Note: "The C&A requirements do not apply, and that a Security Accreditation Package is not required for this contract." Project Requirements Pumping Process - Base Buildings 4, 91, 202, and 226 1. Thoroughly inspect all grease traps and grit trap before the start of work. 2. Pump all grease traps in Canteen Services in Buildings 4 and 202. 3. Use a degreaser on all grease traps and remove piping if necessary to get any excessive grease when cleaning. 4. Pump the grit trap outside of Building 226. 5. Degrease trap with non-biohazard chemical when pumping out and cleaning. 6. After completion haul off all debris, remove all material waste from grease traps and grit trap, and dispose of them properly per OSHA guidelines and standards. 7. After job is complete the VA COR or Alternative will perform a final walk-through to ensure the contract has been met per VA standards and payment is ready to receive invoicing. 8. Perform grease and grit trap maintenance 4 times per year (Quarterly). 9. The contract with consist of a base plus 4 option years with quarterly maintenance done 4 times per year. 10. Contractor will need to submit inspection reports to the City of Waco and VA Engineering Department to keep on file of services performed on grease and grit traps. 11. Traps: a. Building 4 - 10 gallons b. Building 91 - 10 gallons c. Building 202 - 2,000 gallons d. Outside Building 226 - 800 gallons |
