Description

Both University Hospital (UH) and the Concentrated Care Center (CCC) require improvements to support the Information Management Technology (IMT) systems that are in place. At UH the scope of work creates a small office space in an adjacent area. This proposed office will free up an area that will be converted to an electrical closet, which will provide electrical power to IMT closets on all floors of UH. This space will house a UPS, flywheel and associated electrical panels that will support the power to each floor. In addition, a mechanical system will be installed within the room and on grade outside to keep the space cool. At CCC the scope of work provides cooling to (2) IMT closets. To accomplish this two outdoor HVAC units will be required. One will be installed at grade and the other will be installed on a rooftop and will require a crane to place the unit. In addition, this construction occurs near surgical areas which will require the contractor's attention for keeping the work area clean and in line with the projects ICRA requirements. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 525 days (calendar) after Notice to Proceed. Temporary functionality of the space and all associated electrical systems using temporary HVAC is to be completed within 365 days (calendar) after Notice to Proceed. This is due to the long lead time associated with the HVAC units. Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at: SUNY Upstate, Design and Construction, 650 South Salina Street, 2 nd floor, Syracuse, NY 13202.
