Description | The Project consists of the replacement of existing oil insulated medium voltage switchgear in vaults with new exterior pad mounted vacuum interrupter switchgear, replacement of medium voltage distribution transformers, new secondary electrical services, new underground distribution system with site repairs and restoration, and demolition of abandoned switchgear. The Work consists providing new work and alterations to existing buildings and project site necessary to upgrade the existing medium voltage distribution system, including, but not limited to the following: 1. New Campus Primary Metering, to be coordinated with Rocky Mountain Power. 2. New exterior pad mounted medium voltage vacuum interrupter switchgear complete with pad vaults, and connections to the existing distribution system to replace existing oil filled switchgear installed in electrical vaults. 3. New exterior pad mounted distribution transformers to replace existing transformers installed in transformer vaults complete with new secondary electrical services at the Electrical Building, Well Pump House, and Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Building. 4. New exterior pad mounted distribution transformers to replace existing pad mounted transformers at the Administration Building and the Therapy Building. 5. New underground medium voltage distribution system with concrete encased duct banks medium voltage conductors. 6. Excavation, backfill, and compaction necessary for installation of underground distribution duct banks, vaults, pull boxes, etc.. Legally dispose of excavated materials which are not used for backfill. 7. Portable power generators with connections to existing buildings during all power outages. 8. Repair and restoration of existing landscape areas, asphalt pavement, sidewalks, curbs & gutters, irrigation sprinkler systems, and other site surface finishes which are disturbed by new excavation for underground electrical systems. 9. Repair of existing buried steam and condensate piping, water and sewer piping, communication lines, and other underground utilities which may be damaged by new excavation for underground electrical systems. 10. Complete demolition of abandoned switchgear, conductors, switchboards, panelboards, conduit, wiring, etc.. Legally dispose of all demolished materials. 11. Incidental items required to complete the work even though not specifically indicated. |
