Landfill Wellhouse and WWTP Stairway Refurbishment

Refurbishment of a well house and the stairs for the Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at the New Hanover County Landfill located at 5210 Highway 421 North, Wilmington, North Carolina. Bidders shall provide a turn-key price for the project. Well House Refurbishment: 1. Replace particle board with new throughout (all four sides and roof). 2. Replace Hardie Board siding with new. 3. Paint new Hardie Board color specified by County staff. Contractor to provide color options to County to choose color. 4. Replace trim as needed to finish exterior side walls. 5. Paint trim exterior white. 6. Replace asphalt shingles with new (no architectural shingles). 7. Dispose of all waste generated in roll-off containers on site at landfill convenience center. WWTP Stairs Replacement: 1. Tear out old staircase and support beams. 2. Replace existing staircase (2X4’s and 2X6’s) and support beams (4x4’s)with new using pressure treated lumber to match what currently exists. 3. Staircase shall be OSHA compliant. 4. Staircase shall include hand rails and mid rail. 5. Support beams shall be installed three (3) feet below ground surface. 6. All holes for support beams shall be back-filled with three (3) bags of concrete. 7. Dispose of all waste generated in roll-off containers on site at landfill convenience center.
