Fonda Fairgrounds - Water and Sewer Improvements - Contract No. 1 - General Construction

Furnish and Installation of approximately 2,800 linear feet of 6-inch C900 PVC water mains, hydrants, non-freeze hydrants, gate valves, water service building connections, and appurtenances. Furnish and Installation of approximately 1,600 linear feet of 8-inch SDR 35 PVC sewer mains, approximately 15 manholes, and sanitary service building connections. Furnish and Installation of a (2) grinder pump stations, approximately 600 linear feet of DR11 HDPE force main piping, and appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Owner will not have any obligation to grant such access if doing so is not practical because of existing operations, security or safety concerns, or restraints on Owners authority regarding the Site Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office as zipped portable document format (PDF) files. The date that the Bidding Documents are downloaded will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. Purchase made by Montgomery County Agricultural Society are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials. Exemption certificates will be executed upon request. The Work is to be completed by November 30,2024. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all of Contractors obligations under the Contract No exceptions or waivers will be granted to the Contractor. Funding for construction of Fonda Fairgrounds Water and Sewer Improvements is contingent on completion by this date. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent of Bidders maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base Bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions. The Owners right is reserved to reject all Bids or any Bid no conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Question Deadline 01/04/2024 Addenda will be issued at least five (5) days prior to the date of Bid opening. Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents.
