| Description | Project Scope of Work to include following: 1. Providing all labor, equipment and materials as required for replacing existing roof mounted radiator with a new unit mounted on the First Floor Level in the ALPCO transformer vault yard for the Gordon Persons Building located at 50 North Ripley Street Montgomery, Alabama and in accordance with Contract Documents dated July 26, 2019. The Gordon Persons Building is considered a Business Occupancy. 2. Base Bid will: A. Abandon the existing roof mounted radiator, support structure and exposed piping on roof complete. Drain the existing piping and cap at First Floor ceiling level and label "NOT IN USE". Existing piping on First Floor level shall be removed complete. Existing piping run in 2-hour rated chase to be abandoned in place. B. Install equipment on new concrete pad(s) poured flush with existing ALPCO vault curbs. C. Install new 42" galavanized metal handrail at areaway in ALPCO transformer vault yard. D. Provide a 800kW, 277/480V 3PH 4W temporary generator to serve the building emergency power distribution system while the permanent generator is down for radiator modifications. 3. Bid Alternate No. 1: Install a new 1200A, 277/480V triple switch docking station in the ALPCO transformer vault yard on new concrete pad and associated feeders (4 parallel runs each 4 #350MCM and 1 #3/0 GND., 3"C.) from existing generator and from existing panel ED4 to docking station. 4. Bid Alternate No. 2: In place of Bid Alternate No. 1, Install a new 1200A, 277/480V triple switch docking station in the ALPCO transformer vault yard on new concrete pad and associated feeders (1200A, 480V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire with ground NEMA 3R copper bus duct). Bus duct shall terminate into docking station with no tap box. A tap box shall be permitted where required indoors. 5. Bid Alternate No. 3: In place of Bid Alternates No. 1 and 2, Install a new 1600A, 277/480V triple switch docking station in the ALPCO transformer vault yard on new concrete pad and associated feeders (5 parallel runs each 4 #400MCM and 1 #4/0 GND., 3"C.) from existing generator and from existing panel ED4 to docking station. 6. Bid Alternate No. 4: In place of Bid Alternates No. 1, 2, and 3, Install a new 1600A, 277/480V triple switch docking station in the ALPCO transformer vault yard on new concrete pad and associated feeders (1600A, 480V, 3-Phase, 4-Wire with ground NEMA 3R copper bus duct). Bus duct shall terminate into docking station with no tap box. A tap box shall be permitted where required indoors. 7. Bid Alternate No. 5: Remove existing remote radiator, associated structure and piping off roof and discard appropriately. Remove structure and cap piping just above roof level. | ||
