Description | Clean up of homeless encampments to include trash, debris, outdoor storage. General debris for the purpose of this Agreement shall be defined as any debris that cannot be directly dumped into a landfill and requires special disposal procedures (tires, appliances, furniture, mattresses, batteries, etc.). Contractor is required to remove requested trash and debris such as concrete, glass, tires, tree limbs, wood, lumber, furniture, appliances, vehicle parts, and animal excrement. The Contractor will be required to take photographs of trash and debris remove d (see Photo Requirements ). All trash and debris shall be removed from the adjacent sidewalk area and street curb area. Any trash or debris that is to be removed that requires special equipment due to the size or weight shall be considered other than a normal request and reported to City personnel for approval. Contractor is responsible for removal of dead animals and soiled diapers, human excrement, needles, propane tanks, butane cylinders utilizing proper protection, sanitation and appropriate disposal in accordance with all local, state and federal laws. The specific areas that will need to have litter, trash, debris and miscellaneous items removed shall be identified and defined by the City at the time of work assignment. The City will only be responsible for charges as a result of the assigned work. Additional work done by the Contractor beyond the work assigned by the City will be done at the Contractor’s expense. The cost of travel time, dump fees, extra personnel, equipment, etc., must be included in the proposed price for each type of service. Removal of toxic/hazardous materials will not be performed by the Contractor. However, if such materials are found, the Contractor shall notify City designee. The Contractor shall have sufficient personnel and equipment to complete all work requests as defined in this Scope of Services. All equipment used shall be maintained in a safe operating condition, and shall comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. |
