Description

A. Grass shall not be allowed to reach a height of five (5) inches or more, and shall be mowed to the minimum height of three (3) inches. Turf shall not be mowed when wet. Many areas are irrigated and the contractor will agree to an irrigation schedule with the site supervisor. Typically irrigation takes place during the night B. All elements of the lawn maintenance cycle shall be completed the same day they are started. No partial mowing will be allowed unless the weather forces delay. If rain or wet turf conditions exist, contractor shall finish the cycle as soon as favorable conditions return. C. All mowing, trimming and edging equipment shall be properly maintained. Cutting blades shall be kept sharp to minimize turf damage. D. Clippings shall be removed if visible after mowing and removed at contractor’s expense. No clippings shall be disposed of on county property E. Mowing shall be completed so that no clippings are deposited on or in sidewalks, parking lots or maintained landscape flower and shrub beds. If it is unavoidable clippings shall be removed by the contractor. Blowing is an acceptable method of removal.
