Buckley Garrison Building 1500 Fire Alarm Replacement

Qualified Architect/ Engineer (A/E) firm to design a new fire alarm system to be designed and installed throughout the Building 1500 at Buckley Garrison. The system will meet current codes and communicate with the fire suppression system and Buckley Garrison Fire Department. The alarm system and remote notification will meet Buckley Garrison Fire Department (AHJ) standards. The facility has an out of date fire detection /alarm system and a new er fire suppression system. The alarm system is from the original building construction in 1977 . Detectors throughout the building are heat type, not smoke as required for life , health, safety. Notification horn/strobes are spaced too far apart, not meeting current code. The original Edwards System Technology fire alarm panel remains, with newer Digitize and Simplex Grinnel panels are connected. The fire notification system does not fully communicate with the Buckley Garrison Fire Department. A fire suppression system was installed throughout the building in 2014-15. The fire suppressions project’s fire alarm component only included work in the pump room addition and connection to the existing fire alarm system.
