Description

Building 174 Cooling Tower Replacement project involves the replacement of an existing 300 ton forced draft evaporative cooling tower with new, including demolition, cooling water supply/return piping, connections to existing compressors, flushing of the existing compressors, filtration, compressed air system instrumentation, controls, galvanized steel support platform, cooling tower/air compressor system startup, electrical controls/wiring, and validation/flow testing. This cooling tower is a piece of industrial process equipment used to remove waste heat from Air Compressor #5, and is part of the Shipyard Utilities Compressed Air System.
