Description

The proposed project will renovate and replace the existing irrigation system, stream, and other water features at the Mildred E Mathias Botanical Garden. Work shall include replacement of the existing stream system, equipment and provision of new irrigation and all new aquatic plantings along the stream and ponds. Removal of existing landscaping (trees and shrubs), grading of new stream layout and depths, provision of new geomembrane liner system and concrete for new stream bed, new rock edging and boulders , new automated water supply and recirculation system; and power into new vault. Work shall be sequenced so the garden remains partially open during construction. Alternate work includes provision of additional landscaping, rock edging, boulders and plantings. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
