4700 South 4000 West to 5600 West

The Project Consists of Just Under Two Miles of Roadway Reconstruction in a Residential and Commercial Urban Environment. The Scope includes Reconstruction of Pavement, Curb, Gutter, Pedestrian Ramps, and Sidewalk throughout the Corridor. The Project will Widen the Road Between 4800 West And 4000 West to Accommodate a Five-Lane Section with Bike Lanes. The Existing Bridge over the Utah & Salt Lake Canal will be Removed and Replaced with a Cast-In-Place Box Culvert. The Project will also Reconstruct Traffic Signals, Construct a Large Drainage Trunk Line, and Replace Water Lines in Cooperation with Granger Hunter Improvement District. Streetlights and Trees will be Built (Placed) in Portions of the Park Strip, along with Various Segments of Privacy - Retaining Wall Construction Behind the Sidewalk. It is Anticipated that the Project will Begin Construction on the Box Culvert in Late 2021/Early 2022 with the Remainder of the Work Being Complete in the 2022 Construction Season.
