Description | Region: 3 Counties: Grand, Summit Projects: STR0092-024 UDBE Goal: 6.50% 009d Mp 106 To114 Summit County Minor Rehabilitation; 009d Mp 125 to 138 Grand County Chip Seal. This project includes two sections of highway along SH 009D, designated Site 1 and Site 2. Site 1: SH 9 Project Limits 106 to 114: Located in Summit County, just north of Silverthorne, CO. Site 1 project scope includes resurfacing with 1.5 in of HMA over the existing roadway surface and accesses to the state highway along MM 107 to 113, guardrail updates along the project length, and milling and filling 150 ft at each end of the resurfacing work. Additional milling and overlay in specific areas for designated drainage and profile corrections as noted in the plans. The work also includes repair of rilled slopes, striping, signing, shouldering, and temporary traffic control work. Site 2: SH 9 Project Limits 125 to 138: Located in Grand County, just south of Kremmling, CO, this portion of SH 9 is a two lane highway with various residential accesses and wildlife crossings. Site 2 project scope includes a full width chip seal and fog coat from MM 126 to 137. The work also includes striping, signing, and minor milling and shouldering at locations where the shoulder material has eroded, and temporary traffic control work. Additional milling and overlay will in specific areas for designated drainage and profile corrections as noted in the plans. The project will also include the installation of riprap rundowns and structure signs as well as temporary traffic control during construction and restriping after the chip seal is complete.
