Mowing Services at Various City Locations

Site 1. The Marshall Athletic Field is located at 1113 West Michigan Avenue. The complex houses 4 ballfields, concession stand and play equipment. The areas within the ballfields, (infields) shall be mowed on Monday's and Thursday's to a height of 2.5-3". The areas outside the fence and outside the ballfield's -2-(area around concession stand, around play equipment), are to be mowed once a week to 3-4" as specified in the "Frequency of Mowing" section. Weed whipping along the fencing shall be done every other week. The total area to be mowed is approximately 600,000 SQFT. Any fertilization or irrigation will be handled and invoiced separately. Site 2. The City of Marshall's Industrial Park is located off Old 27 South; to the East between Oliver Drive and Woolley Drive. Mowing is exclusive to right-of-way areas. Entire lots are NOT to be mowed. The City requests that this area look desirable to potential commercial businesses looking to develop in Marshall. A map is attached with areas in black cross-hatch of where service is requested. The area to be mowed is approximately 87,000 SQFT. a. Approximately 8-10' in from the sidewalks shall be mowed. Some areas are less and shall be mowed to the tree line. In areas where there is no sidewalk, the area is approximately 8-10' from the curb to the natural tree line. b. The boulevard area between the sidewalk and the curbs shall be mowed and edges shall be trimmed. Any trimmings shall be blown off the sidewalks. c. The frontage on the east side of Old 27 shall be mowed from Woolley Driveto the beginning of the pond. Site 3. Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center, (commonly referred to as MRLEC), is located at 714 North Old 27. This building not only houses police from the City, County, and State; but is and also is used for multiple other functions. Due to the high level of visibility from all agencies; this site must be maintained at the upmost level. In addition: anv employee that will be working on the premises, will need to be fingerprinted and pass a background check. If you do not feel comfortable with these reguirements, please do not bid on servicing this building. a. Weeklyweed whipping is required around all fencing onthe property. b. The front retention pond shall be mowed to the water level. There is no fence around this pond. The rear retention pond is fenced around the perimeter. This grass inside the fence shall be mowed bi-weekly. Weed whipping is also required around this fence, (as stated above.) c. All islands within the front and back parking lots shall be mowed. d. There is a fence around the rear pole barn. Mowing is required also on the inside ofthe fence; as well as weed whipping. The area to be mowed is approximately 181,000 SQFT. Site 4. The City of Marshall Waste Water Treatment Plant is located at 801 Industrial Road. The majority of the area to be mowed is not level and there are some areas with sloped grades where the contractor shall exercise extreme caution. The area to be mowed is approximately 138,000 SQFT. Site 5. The City of Marshall Water Plant is located at 832 E Green Street and constructed on a flat open field area. Caution should be used in the area near the river as this area can be wet, sloped and very soft. There is land on the North side of Green Street to be mowed that is approximately 111,000 SQFT, and the area surrounding the plant on the South side of Green Street is approximately 141,000 SQFT. Site 6. The Marshall House Apartments are located at 200 E Spruce Street and is constructed on a relatively flat lot. Caution should be used in the area near the river as this area can be wet, sloped and very soft. Weed whipping shall be done around all sidewalks and flowerbeds. The area to be mowed is approximately 126,000 SQFT. Site 7. Marshall Brooks Field (Airport) is located at 1243 S. Kalamazoo Avenue
