Description | As of October 11, 2022, project was awarded to Kenmore Construction, awarded amount is $2,841,766.25. This project includes furnishing and installing all labor, equipment, materials and incidentals required to construct an 8' wide off-road asphalt and aggregate trail and the installation of premanufactured bridge and boardwalk structures. The length of the project is 1.4 miles starting at Kenmore Boulevard and ending at the existing Towpath Trail north of Summit Lake. Bidders will be required to comply with: City of Akron Local Goal: 18% EDGE/DBE/MBE/WBE/SBE/VBE (minimum 3% WBE) All questions concerning the project should be submitted in writing 7 days prior to bid opening to Dave Snyder at Environmental Design Group, dsnyder@envdesigngroup.com. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of the project. Bidders must use the prepared forms provided therefore which include compliance with Section 34.03 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Akron, Ohio regarding public contracts. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor s executive Order of 1972, and Governor s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the Federal Davis Bacon wage rates on Public Improvements in Summit County and the City of Akron, Ohio. Bidders are required to use the bidding forms included in the contract/bidding specifications. OECC reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. Also, OECC reserves the right to reject the bids of any bidder if OECC believes it would not be in the best interest of OECC to make the award of that bid; whether because the bid is not responsive, or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standards or criteria established by OECC. |
