Description

Shaw Butte Elementary - Provide pre-construction and construction services to replace approximately 61 classroom and Administration area rootop DX units of vaious tonnages, 4 large DX units for cafeteia and 1 evaporative makeup air unit for kitchen. Provide an Alternate for an indirect or two-stage unit in lieu of direct evaporative unit. Owner desires "like for like" replacement of existing rootop units with owner preferred units with ionizing air treatment. Contractor to provide design assist in ield verifying unit sizes and conigurations as well as existing conditions for electrical and condensate. Contractor to assist the owner's structural engineer is ield veriying existing conditions and the design of any structural reinforcement required. Contactor to assist owner in unit selections. Contractor to ield measure and provide adapter curbs for each unit to be replaced. Conirm sizing and adequacy of existing electical circuits serving DX units and upgrade with new wiring and breakers as required. Provide new disconnects and new rootop condensate piping connected to existing drains. Per structural report and details, make necessary modiications to the existing structure to suppot the new units. Patch and repair roof and inteior construction as required. Coordinate work with district controls contractor who will provide wiring, interfaces and new thermostats for each unit. Provide duct detector and relay for fire alarm shutdown for units over 6,000 cfm or as required by code. Provide pre-installation and post installation test and balance measurement and report. Units to be balanced for outdoor air as calculated by ionizer manufacturer. Coordinate with distict commissioning vendor for submittal approvals, inspection of installation, start-up observation and commissioning of the new system.
