Description

As of January 30, 2023, this project has been awarded and is expected to commence construction April 2023 and complete August 2023. SCOPE OF WORK: The work for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the BTC Courtyard Renovation at Blackhawk Technical College located at 6004 South County Hwy G, Janesville, WI 53546 respectively. The base bid will include approximately 24,000 square feet of exterior renovation. The work for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, selective exterior demolition, concrete, masonry restoration, concrete masonry, structural steel, steel railings, aluminum doors/frames/windows, painting, plumbing and electrical. All work will be issued under a single prime contract(s) for general construction. BIDS: Sealed bids will be received until July 14, 2022 @ 2:00 PM, addressed BTC Courtyard Renovation, delivered to Blackhawk Technical College, Central Campus Administration Building, 6004 S. County Highway G, Janesville, WI, 53546. All bids shall be addressed to Mr. Steven Kormanak, Director of Facilities and shall be enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE, marked with the name and address of the bidder, project title, and the contract number for which the bid is being submitted. All bidders shall bid in accordance with and shall bid upon the bid forms included in the Contract Documents. All contractors are responsible for the viewing/downloading of the correct documents for the purpose of providing a sufficient bid. As holders of these documents, you are acknowledging your requirements to obtain any addenda or other materials prior to bidding and/or construction of the project. Because the Owner and Angus Young Associates has no control over the means of printing these documents, you assume the responsibility for verifying that you have all documents and that they have been printed correctly. Neglect of the above requirements will not be accepted as reason for delay in the work or additional compensation. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by Blackhawk Technical College. Failure on the part of the bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to Blackhawk Technical College as liquidated damages. Blackhawk Technical College reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding, or to accept the bid or bids, which best serve the interests of the Blackhawk Technical College. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the schedule opening of the bids without the consent of the Owner or Architect.
